Nestling on a cliff at an altitude of 1800m, the south-facing resort of Avoriaz and its mountain range enjoy guaranteed snowfall from December to April with an average of 8 metres of snow each winter, thus reducing the need for excessive artificial snow making. This is a place where powder, sunshine and fresh mountain air can be found all season long! And all this at the heart of the Portes du Soleil, positioned on the French-Swiss border, covering 600 km of slopes.

When you choose to stay in Avoriaz 1800, you enjoy a central location from which to make the most of the incredible Portes du Soleil ski area. Skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers, ski tourers, freeriders and freestyle skiers... the Portes du Soleil's 600km of pistes gives you everything you are looking for, without having to take the same route twice!
